Feedback form is now closed.
Asynchronous video tools such as VoiceThread have allowed students to hold conversations over time in online courses. Moreover, they have helped to develop a sense of social presence among students and their instructors. More recently, Flipgrid has emerged as a popular free tool which allows students to interact with each other and their instructor through a streamlined cross-platform app. This session presents various use cases for Flipgrid that contribute to the achievement of higher-order learning objectives in online courses. Preliminary data on student satisfaction and perceptions of using Flipgrid will be presented as well.

By the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
  • Discuss strategies for using Flipgrid to achieve learning outcomes
  • Describe methods for effectively implementing Flipgrid in an online course
