Welcome to NWeLearn 2019! We are excited about his annual event. Here is some housekeeping information to navigate the event:
The conference is hosted in the Convention Center, a separate building next to the Riverhouse Hotel. You can walk there from the hotel by taking one of the paths that go under MT Washington Drive or drive directly there.
The Convention Center has two levels. Meals and main sessions will be held in the lower level and the breakout sessions will be held in the main or 1st floor.
Restrooms are in the 1st Floor across from Cascadia B.
The Thursday night, Networking & Hors D’oeuvres, will be held right after the last Thursday breakout session in the main entrance space by the fireplace on the 1st floor.

D2L, the creators of Brightspace, will be demonstrating how to create custom learning paths to reach EVERY LEARNER regardless of ability or background. A truly personalized learning experience should take into consideration both learner needs and preferences. Brightspace was built with intentional design to deliver on the promise of a personal learning experience so that student s have the tools to succeed. This session will cover the creation of conditions for gating and adaptive release of course materials and activities. These release conditions provide a way to give access to content relevant to each individual student as they make their way through a course. We will also show how instructors can easily engage students at scale via automated personalized emails (Intelligent Agents) based on what they have (or have not been) doing in a course.
